New Davey Dreamnation single & b-side

[13 Sep 2002]

The juggernaut that is Davey Dreamnation continues to roll inexorably down the far side of modern music’s mountain, with the release this morning (Majorca time) of a new single and b-side on mp3.com.au.

The barnstorming single “Departures” has been described by the artist’s spokesperson as equal parts Pavement’s “Rattled By the Rush” and that “Popular” song, featuring scattergun lyrics and a big fat drum beat. The b-side “Nicotine angst” is best described as a cross between Rollerskate Skinny and Doves’ “M62 Song”.

Go figure that one out.
