Yam Yams explained …

[9 Oct 2003]

Yam Yam Pang refers to the strange habit of some designers of placing odd English words together and placing them on bags, t-shirts and the like, leading to a weird po-mo kind of garble intelligible to no one.

Hi from Japan, home of the Pang. Presently in Shinjuku, 10pm, wishing I was wearing sunglasses. Neon bedazzler. Sarah drank too much beer at dinner and we had to, erm, piss-bolt for the railway station.

I haven’t beern bothered to write anything here for a while because well I’m trying to live, youse know - goddamit where is the question mark key on this freaking computer. We have spent the last week in a Nipponese coma, we are in another world here. I hope to make this more eloquent when I have more time. Two more days in Japan then off to ‘Nam.
