We has this brilliant idea of staying at a spa hotel on a lake near Mount Fuji. Lake Kawaguchiko is certainly very pretty but as it rained pretty much the whole time we were there, I don’t have a lot of nice things to say about either the hotel or the town itself. However, we were treated to a Japanese drums performance in the lobby, which was followed by a session of bingo (in which we did not participate). However, the tatami room we stayed in was beautiful, and receives special bonus points for being the only tatami room we stayed in that had chairs (even if those chairs were designed for very small people).
