The apartment we stayed at in Nakameguro was pretty basic. Actually, it reminded me of a warehouse in West melbourne where I spent a year or so. It was kind of cosy and cute but at the same time slightly annoying: the bathroom was primitive, and the boiler for the hot water did not work at all, despite the owner’s detailed instructions. Obviously, the word ‘unlearn’ referred to unlearning the pleasure of taking a hot shower.
