This shot was compulsory: if you’re going to travel in Japan for any extended period of time, it’s hard to avoid the bullet trains. They really are gigantically long, and I was especially fascinated by the similarity of the drivers’ compartments to birds’ beaks. Nevertheless, Japan is not just about bullet trains: we were also lucky enough to ride on buses, trams, regular trains and even a monorail during our stay.
