Kanazawa feels like a calm city, despite the fact that it’s home to over half a million people. I spotted this little bit of poetic text as we were walking into the city for the first time along one of the beautiful little canals, and before imbibing too much beer and sake. I find the little window on the right there slightly sinister, but will always remember Kanazawa as a breath of fresh air on our travels. The contemporary art gallery is also awesome, and this building could almost qualify as an installation.
