Isn’t the digital revolution a wonderful thing? Now anyone can be a photographer. Cue mountain, switch to black and white setting, click and voila: Ansell Adams, look and learn.
Hyang-il-am [Rising Sun Hermitage] was founded in 644 AD and is one of Korea’s three special temples for worshipping Gwanseum-bosal [Avalokitesvara, the Bodhisattva of Compassion]. It’s located in the far south of the Korean peninsula, near the port city of Yeosu.
Kat and I paid our first visit to De Veluwe in 2009, when the autumnal foliage was at its mightiest.
We visited the Kröller-Müller Museum, rode bikes around in the rain and stayed at one of the oddest little hotels I’ve ever come across.
We returned to De Veluwe many years later, in summer time.
It was still raining.
